Tim Powell (USA)

Tim Powell has a range of experience encompassing corporate intelligence, knowledge management, business strategy, information technology, sales and marketing, and financial forecasting. His papers, books, and blog Competing in the Knowledge Economy integrate and explore these disciplines. He is the developer of the Knowledge Value Chain®, a methodology for improving the management and ROI of organizational intelligence and knowledge.

In a career spanning four decades, Tim has served as an analyst and advisor to over 100 leading organizations, among them Abbott Laboratories, Altria, American Express, CIT, General Electric, Highmark BCBS, KPMG, McGraw-Hill, Petrobras, PwC, Revlon, Sony, the State of New York, Travelers, the US Navy, John Wiley, and Xerox.

A Fellow of the Strategic and Competitive Intelligence Professionals organization, Tim meets often with business, professional, and academic communities worldwide. He serves on the adjunct faculty for Columbia University's Information and Knowledge Strategy program. He holds a BA from Yale College and an MBA from the Yale School of Management.


Knowledge to value – evolution or revolution?

Brian Ing, CMC, ICMCI - Global (United Kingdom)

In his 30-year career in management consulting Mr. Brian Ing covered, among other topics, use of IT for competitive advantage, programme management, outsourcing, marketing strategy and organisational Development. He built two consultancies from scratch. Brian has been continuously involved with ICMCI (International Council of Management Consulting Institutes) since 1999 having been a UK trustee, elected Secretary (twice) and Chair.  For four years he led the group within ICMCI responsible for assuring the consistent standard of awarding the CMC in all the Full member countries of ICMCI. In 2002 Brian Ing was President of the UK Institute of Management Consultancy.


Capturing the value of project management

Milagros Mostaza Corral (Spain), PMI Director, Corporate and Government Relations EMEA

Milagros Mostaza is Director, Corporate and Government Relations – EMEA, for the Project Management Institute (PMI), and brings 20 years of business and leadership experience to the organization. In her current role, Milagros is responsible for PMI's relationship with organizations based in the EMEA region and promoting the value of project, program and portfolio management in delivering business results. She leads a team that supports the development of stronger relationships between PMI and organizations, both in the public and private sectors. Previously, she served as Manager of the PMI Regional Service Centre in Brussels, Belgium. Prior to joining PMI, Milagros worked for a European association and a consultancy firm in the field of EU Affairs.  She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Masters in European Studies and speaks fluent English, French and Italian besides her native Spanish.
